“Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.” Lamentations 3:23
I am grateful to God for this. While we tend to be sporadic in our faithfulness to doing and being what He has called us to be, God is always faithful. It’s pretty crazy if you think about it. We don’t deserve it and we definitely don’t deserve His new mercies each morning. Mercy=not receiving the punishment we deserve. I think about a song we sing at church about how God’s love for us is reckless. He pursues us regardless of our seeking Him.
I want to praise God for all He is doing in the lives of the women, men, and youth ARMS serves. I praise God for all the Leaders, Facilitators and Staff who give so selflessly week after week. I praise God for those of you who give financially making this all possible and for you all who pray for ARMS. You’ll never know this side of Heaven what a difference you are making.
August 19th is just around the corner. This is the date of our fun Summer Concert in Spokane Valley. People have begun to sign up but we have lots of room to fill. Please be praying for this to be super full and super fun. Pray for the organizers and the singers.
This week the ARMS Board of Directors meets. As we are in the midst of transitions, please be praying for wisdom and direction. Pray for God to remove any barriers that would keep us from making these changes and doing it with excellence.
Please continue to pray for the Portland Banquet. We need time to work on this and people to be responsive to saying ‘yes’ to helping. We meet this week with a media company about a new video and we will begin considering who should share their testimonies the night of the banquet.
Washington State has changed their laws for intervention services and we have six months to make the required changes. It’s a lot to do. Deb and I will be spending time this week together to work on forms and figuring out how to streamline this process. We would appreciate your prayers.
With a grateful heart,
