Colossians 3:16 “Let the word [spoken by] Christ (the Messiah) have its home [in your hearts and minds] and dwell in you in [all its] richness, as you teach and admonish and train one another in all insight and intelligence and wisdom [in spiritual things, and as you sing] psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, making melody to God with [His] grace in your hearts.”
I don’t know about you but I want God’s word to make its home in my heart and mind. I want to be open to His Spirit as He teaches me, trains me, and even corrects me. I guess this is, at least in part, what the writer is saying, that there is true joy in this. So much joy we will want to sing and praise God. We are richly blessed, whether we realize it or not.
Tricia (OR) and Josh (WA) completed their batterer intervention training. Tricia is taking on more leadership in groups. Josh is one step closer to being at trainee level for the state of WA, so that he can do the same! These are all answers to prayers. Keep those prayers coming!
Please pray for the grants that are still out there. We have two for the Spokane office and one for the Beaverton office. Pray they are favored and chosen to be this year’s recipients. There is a lot of competition out there for grants. I believe it’s our turn. 🙂
We are still completing post banquet tasks for the Portland Banquet and only a week or two away from beginning work on the Spokane March banquet. Please pray for God to bless all that we do with these large fundraisers and for the incredible impact they have on the lives of those it serves.
As mentioned above, we are working to get Josh to Trainee Level in Washington. Please pray for the paper work we need to complete this process to be done and for Josh to have this status by the first week of November.
We are working on our grant report to Murdock for the last installment of a three-year grant. Pray we can articulate in a way that shows clearly the growth they have made possible through their generosity to ARMS.
For His Glory
